Our success in marketing Israel programs is unparalleled.  Our marketing strategy and ongoing execution turned a small Israel-based educational tour organizer into the biggest trip operator for Taglit-birthright israel.  We have helped established Israel programs grow and delivered groups to new program both long and short term.

Following are some of our stories:

Taglit-Birthright Israel - Oranim - Israel is a Kfar Saba based tour organizer.  In 2001, Oranim retained Upstart to market its Birthright Israel trip to the young adult market in North America. By adopting marketing strategies Upstart proposed, Oranim soon became the  largest trip organizer of Birthright programs although the company had no presence on North American campuses as did other organizers such as Hillel and Mayanot.  


Oranim alumni account for about 30% - 40% of the 160,000  Birthright Israel alumni.  In comparing our marketing strategy and execution to other organizers, Birthright's International Director of Marketing Gidi Mark had this to say to the Forward:  "Oranim has really been very innovative in their marketing...they did things that others did, too - but they really did it better than others."

The Israel Tourism Playbook - In the midst of the second Intifada when tourism to Israel was at a 20 year low, the Ministry of Tourism turned to Upstart to create the first ever comprehensive tour planning and promotion guide. Designed to inspire local community leaders to organize their own trips to Israel, the playbook provides easy to use step-by-step guidelines for creating and marketing a successful tour to Israel. The Playbook has  been widely distributed throughout North America.
